Solar collector tilt angle optimization for solar power plant setup-able sites at Western Himalaya and correlation formulation

Abstract Tilt angle optimization of the solar collector is essential to achieve maximum power output. In this study, performance analysis monthly and yearly optimum tilt angles has been carried out for plant setup-able sites in Western Himalayan region India. A mathematic model used assessment. Annual average enhancement 10–11%, 5–7% 4–6% from horizontal, tilted at latitude an angle, respectively. Validation results by mounting a polycrystalline PV panel one suggested (ϕ30° 51′ 1.656′′, L 77° 3′ 41.508′′). The percentage variations found experimental are 8.85, 9.13 14.09 panel, To generalize obtained result, correlations terms declination have also formulated angles, preciseness developed validated statistical tools. study compared with some previous studies, good agreement obtained.
